Description

The Cabernet Sauvignon from Boekenhoutskloof is an excellent, stylish and characterful red wine from the South African wine region Franschhoek.

In the glass, this wine shines in a deep crimson with violet reflections. The nose is filled with expressive aromas of dark berries – especially blackberries and blueberries – and notes of cigar crate and tobacco spice. On the palate, this South African red wine has an exceptionally round and full body, which is embedded in a wonderful aroma of crème de cassis, blackcurrants, cedar wood and pencil. Even the typical vegetarian notes are not missing:  red peppers and tea leaf come into their own wonderfully. The very good acidity harmonizes perfectly with the granular tannins. Together, the dark berry fruit skilfully balances out. With a complex finish of impressive length and nuances of exotic spice, this red wine concludes.
