Aged in virgin oak as well as ex-bourbon casks. Bright gold. Floral soft aromas evoke barley sugar, honey, shortbread and cream tea biscuits followed by ripe peach and pepper. In the mouth, this feels more concentrated than 43%; Virgin oak injects coconut and creamy vanillas while the citrus and spice add spark and freshness, finishing with beeswax, cocoa and tangy peel (orange / lime?) It’s a beautiful arrangement that’s at least as good as the 18 year old. Very Glenmorangie with a lot going on. 43% Alc./Vol.
